The Utah Department of Human Resource Management in partnership with the Utah System of Higher Education invites you and your agency to participate in a supervisory/management training program that has proven to make a positive difference in how well governmental agencies operate. The Certified Public Manager Program is a nationally accredited program that has been successfully functioning in state agencies for nine years.
This year we are extending an opportunity to federal, county and city governmental agencies to participate in the program. We believe that a mix of this nature in the classes will enhance the skills of all agencies to work cooperatively to meet the needs of the citizens of the State.
The program consists of three separate courses, 100 hours each, taught by professional educators who have had experience in supervising and managing people and programs as well as teaching adult learners. The program is designed to be a practical approach of useable skills enhanced by enough theory to validate the content.
The cost for the program translate to about $5.00 an hour per participant. This includes all materials and completion certificates. A bargain price for the quality of the program. Pre-registration is necessary and the full cost of each of the courses will be charged to the agency upon entering the program. Each course is separately conducted and certificates are awarded for the completion of each, i.e., Supervisory, Managerial, and Consultant Certificates.
